And he said to them, “What was the man like who came up to meet you and spoke to you these words?”
8And they answered him, “He was a hairy man, and wore a leather girdle around his waist.” And he said, “It is Ěliyah the Tishbite.”
9He then sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he went up to him, and see, he was sitting on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him, “Man of Elohim, the sovereign has said, ‘Come down!’ ”
10And Ěliyahu answered and said to the captain of fifty, “And if I am a man of Elohim, let fire come down from the heavens and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty. 2 KINGS 1:7-10 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR
7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. 2 KINGS 1:7-10 King James Version - KJV
7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came and met you, and told you these words?
8 And they said unto him, He was an [a]hairy man, and girded with a girdle of leather about his loins. Then said he, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
9 Therefore the King sent unto him a captain over fifty with his fifty men, who went up unto him: for behold, he sat on the top [b]of a mountain, and he said unto him, O man of God, the king hath commanded that thou come down.
10 But Elijah answered, and said to the captain over the fifty, If that I be a man of God, let fire come down from the heaven, and devour thee and thy fifty. [c]So fire came down from the heaven and devoured him and his fifty. 2 KINGS 1:7-10 Geneva Bible 1599 – GNV
May Yah bless and keep you ALL safely abiding under the Shadows of His Mighty Wings. If you have not yet repented, I ask that you repent immediately. Turn to our Heavenly Father through His Beloved Son Yahushua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Please consider doing this immediately, for as we know the world is soon coming to a close. It is during this time that we will need Yah's full divine protection for what is to be unveiled. I believe that it was through obedience that Noah had such great faith; this in essence was what saved him and his family from the flood. As a follower of the Holy Messiah (born again Believer; a former Roman Catholic of 46+ years) there is so much to gain in doing so. My soul is richly blessed by the gems of truth revealed to me by my beloved Heavenly Father, Abba, and I have no regrets repenting of my past ways. Blessings! ~ Judy Velez
1יהוה shall reign. The earth rejoices. Many isles are glad!
2Clouds and darkness all around Him, Righteousness and right-ruling are the foundation of His throne.
3Fire goes before Him, And burns up His adversaries round about.
4His lightnings shall light the world, The earth shall see and tremble.
5The mountains shall melt like wax before the face of יהוה, Before the face of the Master of all the earth.
6The heavens shall declare His righteousness, And all the peoples shall see His esteem.
7All are put to shame who serve carved images, Those boasting of matters of naught. Bow yourselves to Him, all you mighty ones.
8Tsiyon shall hear and be glad, And the daughters of Yehuḏah rejoice Because of Your right-rulings, O יהוה.
9For You, יהוה, are the Most High over all the earth, You shall be greatly exalted, over all mighty ones.
10You who love יהוה, hate evil! He guards the lives of His kind ones, He delivers them out of the hand of the wrong.
11Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.
12Rejoice in יהוה, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His Set-apartness. PSALM 97 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR
