15 June - Psalm 134, and Psalm 146-150

My soul doth magnify my YAH, and my spirit hath rejoiced in EL my Saviour; For HE that is mighty hath done to me great things; and Holy is HIS Name. Now unto HIM who is ever present in my helpless estate; who is able to keep me from falling and to present me faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, unto the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise EL our Saviour be honour and glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and for ever Halleluyah!

PSALM 134

1Come, bless יהוה, All you servants of יהוה, Who are standing in the House of יהוה by night!

2Lift up your hands in the set-apart place, And bless יהוה.

3יהוה, Maker of the heavens and earth, Does bless you from Tsiyon!

PSALM 146

1Praise Yah! Praise יהוה, O my being!

2While I live I praise יהוה; I sing praises to my Elohim while I exist.

3Do not put your trust in princes, In a son of man, in whom is no deliverance.

4His spirit goes out, he returns to his earth; In that day his plans perish.

5Blessed is he who has the Ěl of Ya‛aqoḇ for his help, Whose expectancy is in יהוה his Elohim,

6Maker of the heavens and earth, The sea and all that is in them, Who is guarding truth forever,

7Doing right-ruling for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry. יהוה releases those who are bound,

8יהוה opens the eyes of the blind, יהוה raises those who are bowed down, יהוה loves the righteous.

9יהוה guards the strangers, He lifts up the fatherless and widow, But the way of the wrong ones He turns upside down.

10יהוה reigns forever, O Tsiyon, Your Elohim to all generations. Praise Yah!

PSALM 147

1Praise Yah! For it is good to sing praises to our Elohim. For it is pleasant – praise is fitting.

2יהוה builds up Yerushalayim, He gathers the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl –

3He heals the broken-hearted And binds up their wounds.

4He appoints the number of the stars, He gives names to all of them.

5Great is our Master and mighty in power, There is no limit to His understanding.

6יהוה lifts up the meek ones, He throws the wrong ones down to the ground.

7Respond to יהוה with thanksgiving; Sing praises on a lyre to our Elohim,

8Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to sprout on the mountains,

9Giving to the beast its food, To the young ravens that cry.

10He does not delight in the strength of the horse, He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

11יהוה takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who wait for His kindness.

12Extol יהוה, O Yerushalayim! Praise your Elohim, O Tsiyon!

13For He has strengthened the bars of your gates, He has blessed your children in your midst,

14Who makes peace in your borders, He satisfies you with the finest wheat;

15Who sends out His command to the earth, His word runs very speedily;

16Who gives snow like wool, He scatters the frost like ashes;

17Throwing out His hail like pieces; Who does stand before His cold?

18He sends out His word and melts them, He causes His wind to blow – the waters flow;

19Declaring His Word to Ya‛aqoḇ, His laws and His right-rulings to Yisra’ĕla.

20He has not done so with any nation; And they have not known His right-rulings! Praise Yah!

PSALM 148

1Praise Yah! Praise יהוה from the heavens, Praise Him in the heights!

2Praise Him, all His messengers; Praise Him, all His hosts!

3Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

4Praise Him, heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!

5Let them praise the Name of יהוה, For He commanded and they were created.

6And He established them forever and ever, He gave a law and they pass not beyond.

7Praise יהוה from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths,

8Fire and hail, snow and clouds, Stormy wind that does His word,

9The mountains and all hills, Fruit tree and all cedars,

10Wild beasts and all cattle, Creeping creatures and flying birds,

11Sovereigns of the earth and all peoples, Rulers and all judges of the earth,

12Both young men and maidens, Old men and children.

13Let them praise the Name of יהוה, For His Name alone is exalted, His splendour is above the earth and heavens.

14He also lifts up the horn of His people, The praise of all His kind ones; Of the children of Yisra’ĕl, A people near to Him. Praise Yah!

PSALM 149

1Praise Yah! Sing to יהוה a new song, His praise in an assembly of kind ones.

2Let Yisra’ĕl rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Tsiyon exult in their Sovereign.

3Let them praise His Name in a dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre.

4For יהוה takes pleasure in His people; He embellishes the meek ones with deliverance.

5Let the kind ones exult in esteem; Let them sing aloud on their beds.

6Let the exaltation of Ěl be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7To execute vengeance on the gentiles, Punishments on the peoples;

8To bind their sovereigns with chains, And their nobles with iron bands;

9To execute on them the written right-ruling; A splendour it is for all His kind ones. Praise Yah!

PSALM 150

1Praise Yah! Praise Ěl in His set-apart place; Praise Him in His mighty expanse!

2Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

3Praise Him with the blowing of the ram’s horn; Praise Him with the harp and lyre!

4Praise Him with tambourine and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

5Praise Him with sounding cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals!

6Let all that have breath praise Yah. Praise Yah!
