1My brothers, do not hold the belief of our Master יהושע Messiah, the Master of esteem, with partiality.
2For if there should come into your meeting a man with gold rings, in a splendid robe, and there should also come in a poor one dressed in rags,
3and you pay attention to the one wearing the splendid robe and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor one, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here by my feet,”
4have you not discriminated among yourselves, and become judges with wicked thoughts?
5Listen, my beloved brothers: Has Elohim not chosen the poor of this world, rich in belief and heirs of the reign which He promised to those who love Him?
6But you have shown disrespect towards the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?
7Do they not blaspheme that good Name by which you are called?
8If you truly accomplish the sovereign law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself,” you do well,
9but if you show partiality, you commit sin, being found guilty by the Torah as transgressors. JAMES 2:1-9 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR
1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. JAMES 2:1-9 King James Version - KJV
1 My brethren, have not the faith of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ in respect of persons.
2 For if there come into your company a man with a gold ring, and in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment,
3 And ye have a respect to him that weareth the gay clothing; and say unto him, Sit thou here in a goodly place, and say unto the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool,
4 Are ye not partial in your selves, and are become Judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken my beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of this world, that they should be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not the rich oppress you by tyranny, and do they not draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme the worthy Name after which ye be named?
8 But if ye fulfill the royal Law according to the Scripture, which saith, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well.
9 But if ye regard the persons, ye commit sin, and are rebuked of the Law, as transgressors. JAMES 2:1-9 Geneva Bible 1599 – GNV
May Yah bless and keep you ALL safely abiding under the Shadows of His Mighty Wings. If you have not yet repented, I ask that you repent immediately. Turn to our Heavenly Father through His Beloved Son Yahusha Messiah (Jesus Christ). Please consider doing this immediately, for as we know the world is soon coming to a close. It is during this time that we will need Yah's full divine protection for what is to be unveiled. I believe that it was through obedience that Noah had such great faith; this in essence was what saved him and his family from the flood. As a follower of the Holy Messiah (born again Believer; a former Roman Catholic of 46+ years) there is so much to gain in doing so. My soul is richly blessed by the gems of truth revealed to me by my beloved Heavenly Father, Abba, and I have no regrets repenting of my past ways. Blessings! ~ Judy Velez
1I have said,“Let me guard my ways Against sinning with my tongue; Let me guard my mouth with a muzzle, While the wrongdoer is before me.”
2I became dumb, keeping still; I was silent, from good; And my pain was stirred.
3My heart was hot within me; While I was meditating, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue:
4“יהוה, let me know my end, And the measure of my days, what it is, Let me know how short-lived I am.
5“See, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my lifetime is as non-existence before You; Only, all men standing, are all breath. Selah.
6“As but a shadow each one walks; They busy themselves, only in vain; He heaps up wealth, But knows not who gathers them.
7“And now, יהוה, what do I wait for? My expectancy is in You.
8“Deliver me from all my transgressions; Do not make me the reproach of the foolish.
9“I was dumb, I did not open my mouth, Because it was You who did it.
10“Turn aside Your stroke from me; I am overcome by the blow of Your hand.
11“When You chastise man for crookedness with reproofs, You consume what he loves, like a moth; All men are but a breath. Selah.
12“Hear my prayer, O יהוה, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13“Look away from me, That I might brighten up, Before I go away and am no more.” PSALM 39 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR
