My soul doth magnify my YAH, and my spirit hath rejoiced in EL my Saviour; For HE that is mighty hath done to me great things; and Holy is HIS Name. Now unto HIM who is ever present in my helpless estate; who is able to keep me from falling and to present me faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, unto the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise EL our Saviour be honour and glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and for ever Halleluyah!

MARK 6

1And He went away from there and came to His own country, and His taught ones followed Him.

2And Sabbath having come, He began to teach in the congregation. And many who heard Him were astonished, saying, “Where did He get all this? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such miracles are done through His hands?

3“Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Miryam, and brother of Ya‛aqoḇ, and Yosĕph, and Yehuḏah, and Shim‛on? And are not His sisters here with us?” And they stumbled in Him.

4And יהושע said to them, “A prophet is not unappreciated except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

5And He was unable to do any miracle there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick ones and healed them.

6And He marvelled because of their unbelief. And He was going around among the villages, teaching.

7And He called the twelve near, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits.

8And He instructed them to take none at all for the journey except a staff – no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts,

9but to wear sandals, and not to wear two undergarments.

10And He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you leave that place.

11“And any place that does not receive you or listen to you, when you leave there, shake off the dust under your feet as a witness against them. Truly, I say to you, it shall be more bearable for Seḏom and Amorah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

12And they went out and proclaimed that men should repent.

13And they were casting out many demons, and they were anointing with oil many who were sick, and they were healing them.

14And Sovereign Herodes heard, for His Name had become well-known. And he said, “Yoḥanan the Immerser has been raised from the dead, and because of this these powers are at work in him.”

15Others said, “He is Ěliyahu.” And others said, “He is a prophet – like one of the prophets.”

16But when Herodes heard, he said, “This one is Yoḥanan whom I beheaded, he has been raised from the dead!”

17For Herodes himself had sent and seized Yoḥanan, and bound him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, because he had married her,

18for Yoḥanan had said to Herodes, “It is not right for you to have your brother’s wife.”

19So Herodias held a grudge against him and wished to kill him, but was unable,

20for Herodes feared Yoḥanan, knowing that he was a righteous and set-apart man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he was much perplexed, yet heard him gladly.

21And a suitable day came when Herodes on his birthday gave a feast for his great men, and the high officers, and the chief men of Galil.

22And when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, and pleased Herodes and those who sat with him, the sovereign said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you wish, and I shall give it to you.”

23And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I shall give you, up to half of my reign.”

24And she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of Yoḥanan the Immerser!”

25And coming in immediately with haste to the sovereign she asked, saying, “I wish that you give me at once the head of Yoḥanan the Immerser on a dish.”

26And the sovereign, becoming deeply grieved, because of the oaths, and because of those who sat with him, did not wish to refuse her.

27And the sovereign straightaway sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in prison,

28and brought his head on a dish, and gave it to the girl. And the girl gave it to her mother.

29And when his taught ones heard of it, they came and took away his dead body and laid it in a tomb.

30And the emissaries gathered to יהושע and reported to Him all, both what they had done and what they had taught.

31And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a little” – for there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

32And they went away to a lonely place in the boat by themselves.

33But they saw them going, and many recognised Him and ran there on foot from all the cities, and came before them and came together to Him.

34And having gone out, יהושע saw a large crowd and was moved with compassion for them because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. And He began to teach them many matters.

35And as the hour grew late, His taught ones came to Him and said, “This is a lonely place, and now the hour is late.

36“Send them away, so that they go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread, since they have no food to eat.”

37But He answering, said to them, “You give them to eat.” And they said to Him, “Should we go and buy two hundred silver pieces worth of bread and give them to eat?”

38Then He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fishes.”

39And He ordered them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass.

40And they sat down in groups, in hundreds and in fifties.

41And taking the five loaves and the two fishes, looking up to the heaven, He blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His taught ones to set before them. And the two fishes He divided among them all.

42And all ate and were satisfied.

43And they picked up twelve baskets, filled with pieces, also from the fishes.

44Now those who ate the loaves were about five thousand men.

45And immediately He made His taught ones enter into the boat, and to go before Him to the other side, to Bĕyth Tsaiḏa, while He was dismissing the crowd.

46And having sent them away, He went away to the mountain to pray.

47And when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea. And He was alone on the land.

48And seeing them straining at rowing – for the wind was against them – at about the fourth watch of the night, He came to them walking on the sea, and He wished to pass them by.

49And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a phantom, and cried out,

50for they all saw Him and were troubled. And immediately He spoke to them and said to them, “Take courage, it is I. Do not be afraid.”

51And He went up to them, into the boat, and the wind ceased. And they were exceedingly amazed in themselves, and marvelled.

52For they did not understand about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.

53And having passed over, they came to the land of Gennĕsar and drew to shore.

54And when they came out of the boat, He was immediately recognised,

55and all that neighbourhood ran about, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was.

56And wherever He went, into villages, or cities, or the country, they were laying the sick in the market-places, and begged Him to let them touch if only the tzitzita of His garment. And as many as touched Him were healed.

LUKE 9:1-17

1And entering into a boat, He passed over, and came to His own city.

2And see, they were bringing to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. And יהושע, seeing their belief, said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son, your sins have been forgiven.”

3And see, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This One blasphemes!”

4And יהושע, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think wicked thoughts in your hearts?

5“For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?

6“But in order for you to know that the Son of Aḏam possesses authority on earth to forgive sins...” He then said to the paralytic, “Rise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

7And he rose and went to his house.

8And when the crowds saw it, they marvelled and praised Elohim who had given such authority to men.

9And as יהושע passed on from there, He saw a man called Mattithyahu sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” And he rose and followed Him.

10And it came to be, as יהושע sat at the table in the house, that see, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His taught ones.

11And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His taught ones, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12And יהושע hearing this, said to them, “Those who are strong have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

13“But go and learn what this means, ‘I desire compassion and not offering.’ For I did not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.”

14Then the taught ones of Yoḥanan came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your taught ones do not fast?”

15And יהושע said to them, “Are the friends of the bridegroom able to mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days shall come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they shall fast.

16“And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.

17“Neither do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

MATTHEW 14

1At that time Herodes the district ruler heard the report about יהושע,

2and said to his servants, “This is Yoḥanan the Immerser. He has risen from the dead, and that is why these mighty powers are at work in him.”

3For Herodes had arrested Yoḥanan, bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,

4for Yoḥanan had said to him, “It is not right for you to have her.”

5And wishing to kill him, he feared the crowd, because they held him as a prophet.

6But as Herodes’ birthday was being held, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herodes,

7so he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.

8And she, being urged on by her mother, said, “Give me here the head of Yoḥanan the Immerser on a dish.”

9And the sovereign was sad, but because of the oaths and the guests he commanded it to be given,

10and sent and beheaded Yoḥanan in prison.

11And his head was brought on a dish and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

12And his taught ones came and took away the body and buried it, and went and reported to יהושע.

13Now when יהושע heard it, He withdrew from there by boat to a deserted place, by Himself. And when the crowds heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities.

14And when יהושע came out, He saw a large crowd and was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

15And when evening came, His taught ones came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Dismiss the crowds, so that they might go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”

16But יהושע said to them, “They do not need to go away, give them to eat yourselves.”

17And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

18And He said, “Bring them here to Me.”

19And commanding the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the taught ones. And the taught ones gave to the crowds,

20and all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up the pieces left over – twelve baskets, filled.

21And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

22And immediately יהושע made His taught ones enter into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds.

23And having dismissed the crowds, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray. And when evening had come, He was alone there.

24But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, agitated by the waves, for the wind was against it.

25And in the fourth watch of the night יהושע went to them, walking on the sea.

26And when the taught ones saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a phantom!” And from fear they cried.

27But immediately יהושע spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid.”

28And Kĕpha answered Him and said, “Master, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29And He said, “Come.” And when Kĕpha had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to יהושע.

30But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Master, save me!”

31And immediately יהושע stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “O you of little belief, why did you doubt?”

32And when they came into the boat, the wind ceased.

33And those in the boat came and did bow to Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of Elohim.”

34And having passed over, they came to the land of Gennĕsar.

35And when the men of that place recognised Him, they sent out into all that surrounding country, and brought to Him all who were sick,

36and begged Him to let them only touch the tzitzita of His garment. And as many as touched it were completely healed.
