My soul doth magnify my YAH, and my spirit hath rejoiced in EL my Saviour; For HE that is mighty hath done to me great things; and Holy is HIS Name. Now unto HIM who is ever present in my helpless estate; who is able to keep me from falling and to present me faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, unto the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise EL our Saviour be honour and glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and for ever Halleluyah!

MARK 9

1And He said to them, “Truly, I say to you that there are some standing here who shall not taste of death at all until they see the reign of Elohim having come in power:”a

2And after six days יהושע took Kĕpha, and Ya‛aqoḇ, and Yoḥanan, and led them up on a high mountain alone by themselves. And He was transformed before them.

3And His garments became glittering, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth is able to whiten.

4And there appeared to them Ěliyahu with Mosheh,a and they were talking with יהושע.

5And Kĕpha responding, said to יהושע, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three booths, one for You, and one for Mosheh, and one for Ěliyahu,”

6because he did not know what to say, for they were exceedingly afraid.

7And there came a cloud overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, the Beloved. Hear Him!”

8And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them, but only יהושע.

9And as they were coming down from the mountain, He ordered them not to relate to anyone what they saw, till the Son of Aḏam had risen from the dead.

10And they kept this matter to themselves, debating what the rising from the dead meant.

11And they asked Him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Ěliyahu has to come first?”

12And He said to them, “Ěliyahu indeed, having come first, restores all mattersa. And how has it been written concerning the Son of Aḏam, that He is to suffer much and be despised?

13“But I say to you that even Ěliyahu has come, and they did to him whatever they wished, as it has been written of him.”

14And coming to the taught ones, He saw a large crowd around them, and scribes disputing with them.

15And immediately, when all the crowd saw Him, they were greatly astonished, and running near, greeted Him.

16And He asked the scribes, “What are you disputing with them?”

17And one of the crowd answering, said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a dumb spirit.

18“And wherever he seizes him, he throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and gnashes his teeth, and he wastes away. And I spoke to Your taught ones, that they should cast him out, but they were not able.”

19And He answered him and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me.”

20So they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into convulsions. And falling on the ground, he rolled about, foaming at the mouth.

21And He asked his father, “How long has he been like this?” And he said, “From childhood,

22and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if it is at all possible for You, have compassion on us and help us.”

23And יהושע said to him, “If you are able to believe, all is possible to him who believes.”

24And immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “I believe Master, help my unbelief!”

25And when יהושע saw that a crowd came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You deaf and dumb spirit, I order you, come out of him, and never again enter into him!”

26And crying out, and convulsing him much, it came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said that he was dead.

27But יהושע, taking him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.

28And when He came into a house, His taught ones asked Him separately, “Why were we unable to cast him out?”

29And He said to them, “It is impossible for this kind to come out except through prayer and fasting.”

30And going from there they passed through Galil. And He did not wish anyone to know,

31for He was teaching His taught ones and said to them, “The Son of Aḏam is being delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill Him. And having been killed, He shall rise the third day.”

32But they did not understand the word, and they were afraid to ask Him.

33And they came to Kephar Naḥum, and having come in the house He asked them, “What was it you disputed among yourselves on the way?”

34And they were silent, for on the way they had disputed with one another who was the greatest.

35And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

36And He took a little child and set him in their midst, and taking him in His arms, He said to them,

37“Whoever receives one of such little children in My Name receives Me. And whoever receives Me, receives not Me, but the One who sent Me.”

38And Yoḥanan said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone, who does not follow us, casting out demons in Your Name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”

39And יהושע said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My Name is able to readily speak evil of Me.

40“For he who is not against us is for us.

41“For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My Name, because you are of Messiah, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

42“And whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

43“And if your hand makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two hands, to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

44where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

45“And if your foot makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two feet, to be thrown into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

46where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

47“And if your eye makes you stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter into the reign of Elohim with one eye, than having two eyes, to be thrown into the fire of Gehenna,

48where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

49“For everyone shall be seasoned with fire, and every offering shall be seasoned with salt.

50“Salt is good, but if the salt becomes tasteless, how shall you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace among one another.”

LUKE 9:28-62

28And it came to be, about eight days after these words, taking with Him Kĕpha and Yoḥanan and Ya‛aqoḇ, He went up to the mountain to pray.

29And it came to be, as He prayed, the appearance of His face changed, and His garment dazzling white.

30And see, two men were talking with Him, who were Mosheh and Ěliyahu,a

31who having appeared in esteem, spoke of His death which He was about to complete at Yerushalayim.

32But Kĕpha and those with him were heavy with sleep. And having awakened, they saw His esteem and the two men standing with Him.

33And it came to be, as they were parting from Him, Kĕpha said to יהושע, “Master, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three booths: one for You, and one for Mosheh, and one for Ěliyahu,” not knowing what he said.

34And as he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them. And they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

35And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, the Beloved. Hear Him!”

36And when the voice had spoken, יהושע was found alone. And they were silent, and reported to no one in those days any of what they had seen.

37And it came to be on the next day, when they came down from the mountain, that a large crowd met Him.

38And see, a man from the crowd cried out, saying, “Teacher, I beg You, look at my son, for he is my only child.

39“And see, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it convulses him, with foaming, and scarcely leaves him, bruising him.

40“And I begged Your taught ones to cast it out, but they were unable.”

41And יהושע answering, said, “O generation, unbelieving and perverse, how long shall I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

42And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down in convulsions. And יהושע rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

43And they were all amazed at the greatness of Elohim. And while all were marvelling at all that יהושע did, He said to His taught ones,

44“Lay up in your ears these words, for the Son of Aḏam is about to be delivered into the hands of men.”

45But they did not understand this saying, and it was veiled from them so that they did not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.

46And a reasoning arose among them, who might be the greater of them.

47And יהושע, having seen the reasoning of their heart, took a little child and placed him by His side,

48and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My Name receives Me. And whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all, he shall be great.”

49And Yoḥanan answering, said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your Name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”

50But יהושע said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.”

51And it came to be, when the days of His taking up were being completed, even He set His face to go to Yerushalayim,

52and He sent messengers ahead of Him. And they went and entered into a village of the Shomeronites, to prepare for Him.

53And they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Yerushalayim.

54And His taught ones, Ya‛aqoḇ and Yoḥanan, seeing it said, “Master, do You wish us to command fire to come down from the heaven and destroy them, as also Ěliyahu did?”

55But having turned, He rebuked them and said, “You do not know of what spirit you are,

56for the Son of Aḏam did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went on to another village.

57And it came to be, as they journeyed on the way, that someone said to Him, “Master, I shall follow You wherever You go.”

58And יהושע said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the heaven nests, but the Son of Aḏam has nowhere to lay His head.”

59And He said to another, “Follow Me,” but he said, “Master, let me first go and bury my father.”

60And יהושע said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the reign of Elohim.”

61And another also said, “Master, I shall follow You, but let me first say good-bye to those in my house.”

62But יהושע said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the reign of Elohim.”

MATTHEW 17

1And after six days יהושע took Kĕpha, and Ya‛aqoḇ, and Yoḥanan his brother, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves,

2and He was transformed before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as the light.

3And see, Mosheh and Ěliyahu appeared to them, talking with Him.

4And Kĕpha answering, said to יהושע, “Master, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, let us make here three booths: one for You, one for Mosheh, and one for Ěliyahu.”a

5While he was still speaking, see, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And see, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I did delight. Hear Him!”

6And when the taught ones heard, they fell on their faces and were much afraid.

7But יהושע came near and touched them and said, “Rise, and do not be afraid.”

8And having lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but יהושע only.

9And as they were coming down from the mountain, יהושע commanded them, saying, “Do not mention the vision to anyone until the Son of Aḏam is raised from the dead.”

10And His taught ones asked Him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that Ěliyahu has to come first?”

11And יהושע answering, said to them, “Ěliyahu is indeed coming first, and shall restore all matters.a

12“But I say to you that Ěliyahu has already come, and they did not recognise him but did to him whatever they wished. In this way the Son of Aḏam is also about to suffer by them.”

13Then the taught ones understood that He had spoken to them about Yoḥanan the Immerser.

14And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,

15“Master, have compassion on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers badly, for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

16“And I brought him to Your taught ones, but they were unable to heal him.”

17And יהושע answering, said, “O generation, unbelieving and perverted, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.”

18And יהושע rebuked the demon, and he came out of him. And the child was healed from that hour.

19Then the taught ones came to יהושע by Himself and said, “Why were we unable to cast him out?”

20And יהושע said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for truly, I say to you, if you have belief as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move. And no matter shall be impossible for you.

21“But this kind does not go out except through prayer and fasting.”

22And while they were staying in Galil, יהושע said to them, “The Son of Aḏam is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,

23and they shall kill Him, and the third day He shall be raised up.” And they were deeply grieved.

24And when they came into Kephar Naḥum, those who received the tax came to Kĕpha and said, “Does your Teacher not pay the tax?”

25He said, “Yea.” And when he came into the house, יהושע spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Shim‛on? From whom do the sovereigns of the earth take toll or tax, from their own sons or from the strangers?”

26Kĕpha then said to Him, “From the strangers.” יהושע said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.

27“But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you shall find a piece of money. Take that and give it to them for Me and you.”
