Daily Reflection - 24 August - Esther 1:13-18

13So the sovereign said to the wise men who understood the times (for in this way the sovereign’s matter came before all who knew law and right-ruling,

14and who were close to him: Karshena, Shĕthar, Aḏmatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, Memuḵan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, who saw the sovereign’s face, who sat first in the reign):

15“According to law, what is to be done to Sovereigness Vashti, because she did not perform the command of Sovereign Aḥashwĕrosh, through the eunuchs?”

16And Memuḵan answered before the sovereign and the princes, “Sovereigness Vashti has misbehaved not only toward the sovereign, but also toward all the princes, and all the people who are in all the provinces of Sovereign Aḥashwĕrosh.

17“For the matter of the sovereigness shall go forth to all women, to make their husbands despised in their eyes, when they say, ‘Sovereign Aḥashwĕrosh commanded Sovereigness Vashti to be brought in before him, but she did not come.’

18“And this day the princesses of Persia and Media shall say to all the sovereign’s officials that they have heard of the matter of the sovereigness – with plenty of scorn and wrath. ESTHER 1:13-18 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR

13 Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the times, (for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment:

14 And the next unto him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom;)

15 What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?

16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.

17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.

18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath. ESTHER 1:13-18 King James Version - KJV

16 Then Memucan answered before the king and the Princes, The Queen Vashti hath not only done evil against the King, but against all the Princes, and against all the people that are in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus.

17 For the act of the Queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their own eyes, and shall say, The King Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the Queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.

18 So shall the Princesses of Persia and Media this day say unto all the King’s Princes, when they hear of the act of the Queen: thus shall there be much despitefulness and wrath. ESTHER 1:13-18 Geneva Bible 1599 – GNV

May Yah bless and keep you ALL safely abiding under the Shadows of His Mighty Wings. If you have not yet repented, I ask that you repent immediately. Turn to our Heavenly Father through His Beloved Son Yahusha Messiah (Jesus Christ). Please consider doing this immediately, for as we know the world is soon coming to a close. It is during this time that we will need Yah's full divine protection for what is to be unveiled. I believe that it was through obedience that Noah had such great faith; this in essence was what saved him and his family from the flood. As a follower of the Holy Messiah (born again Believer; a former Roman Catholic of 46+ years) there is so much to gain in doing so. 1Incline Your ear, O יהוה, Answer me, for I am poor and needy.

2Guard my being, for I am dedicated; You are my Elohim; Save Your servant who is trusting in You!

3Show favour to me, O יהוה, For I cry to You all day long.

4Bring joy to the being of Your servant, For to You, O יהוה, I lift up my being.

5For You, יהוה, are good, and ready to forgive, And great in kindness to all those who call upon You.

6Give ear, O יהוה, to my prayer; And listen to the voice of my pleadings.

7In the day of my distress I call upon You, For You answer me.

8There is none like You among the mighty ones, O יהוה; And like Your works there are none.

9Let all nations You have made Come and bow themselves before You, O יהוה, And give esteem to Your Name.

10For You are great, and are doing wonders; You are Elohim, You alone.

11Teach me Your way, O יהוה; Let me walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your Name.

12I praise You, O יהוה my Elohim, with all my heart, And I esteem Your Name forever.

13For Your kindness is great toward me, And You have delivered my being From the depths of the grave.

14O Elohim, the proud have risen against me, And a band of dreaded men have sought my life, And have not set You before them.

15But You, O יהוה, Are a compassionate Ěl and showing favour, Patient and great in kindness and truth.

16Turn to me, and show favour to me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your female servant.
